The Immigrant stars Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose) as Ewa, a young woman who sails to New York with her sister Magda (Angela Sarafyan) from their native Poland in search of a new start and the American dream. When they reach Ellis Island, doctors discover that Magda is ill, and the two women are separated. Ewa is released onto the mean streets of Manhattan while her sister is quarantined. Alone, with nowhere to turn and desperate to reunite with Magda, Ewa quickly falls prey to Bruno (Joaquin Phoenix, The Master, Walk the Line), a charming but wicked man who takes her in and forces her into prostitution. The arrival of Orlando (Jeremy Renner, American Hustle, The Hurt Locker)—a dashing stage magician who is also Bruno's cousin—restores her self-belief and hopes for a brighter future, becoming her only chance to escape the nightmare in which she finds herself.

Raised by her aristocratic great-uncle Lord Mansfield (Tom Wilkinson) and his wife (Emily Watson), Belle's lineage affords her certain privileges, yet her status prevents her from the traditions of noble social standing. While her cousin Elizabeth (Sarah Gadon) chases suitors for marriage, Belle is left on the sidelines wondering if she will ever find love. Trailer

A witty romantic drama, Words and Pictures stars the engaging duo of Juliette Binoche and Clive Owen working together on-screen for the first time. Prep school English teacher Jack Marcus (Owen) laments his students' obsession with social media and good grades rather than engaging with the power of the written word. A one-time literary star, Jack has not published in years, filling his spare time with drink versus the art of language. He meets his match in Dina Delsanto (Binoche)—an abstract painter and new teacher on campus, who was once celebrated for her art. From the start, the two flirt and provoke each other with equal relish. With a performance review looming and his teaching job on the line, Jack hatches an inspired plan for galvanizing student interest in their studies: he declares a war between Words and Pictures, confident that the former can convey greater meaning than the latter. Dina and her art students accept the challenge between Jack and his English students, and the battle lines are drawn.

Trailer

Set in the near future, the world of The Rover is one where mankind's greed and excesses have pushed civilization to the breaking point. With society in decline, the rule of law has disintegrated and life is cheap. Hardened loner Eric (Guy Pearce, Lawless, Memento, L.A. Confidential) travels the desolate towns and roads of the Australian outback. When a brutal gang of thieves steals his car and only remaining possession, they leave behind the wounded Rey (Robert Pattinson, the Twilight films) in their wake. Forcing Rey to help track the gang, Eric gives chase. Determined beyond reason, unrelenting in the pursuit of his prey, Eric will go to any lengths to take back the one thing that matters to him. Animal Kingdomestablished director/co-writer David Michôd as a master of brooding, slow-burning tension.
