Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant star in this legendarily loveable comedy about a madcap heiress with a pet leopard who meets an absent-minded paleontologist and unwittingly makes a fiasco of both their lives. All the earnest scientist David Huxley (Grant) wants is an intercostal clavicle to complete his brontosaurus skeleton. What he gets instead is an out-of-control toboggan ride with scatterbrained heiress Susan Vance (Hepburn), who’s nuts for him (or maybe she’s just plain nuts)!
Riding along for the fun are a dog named George, a leopard named Baby, a snooty society matron with a spare million, a caretaker on the sauce and a random assortment of kooky characters who can’t help but add to the confusion. Naturally, our mismatched pair falls in love through all the lunacy, much to our moviegoing delight. In this giddy, fast-talking romp directed by Hollywood legend Howard Hawks, Grant ends up in a negligee, Hepburn ends up in a bottomless evening gown, everyone ends up in jail, and Bringing Up Baby ends up as one of the most gloriously wacky, smartly sophisticated pictures ever made. Perhaps the definitive screwball comedy from Hollywood’s Golden Era, this is a delicious movie treat that can’t be beat!

“One of the finest screwball comedies ever. Fast, furious and very, very funny.” – Geoff Andrew, Time Out Film Guide
