Thor Odinson, the God of Thunder (Or is it Lord of Thunder? Still not quite clear on that) is back for another mighty adventure across the cosmos. Back for the first time since the universe-shattering events of AVENGERS: ENDGAME, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is on a spiritual mission to decide what kind of man (or god) he really is. All that is upended when he discovers his previously destroyed hammer, Mjölnir, being wielded by a decidedly god-like Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). As Thor attempts to respark the romance after 8 years, 7 months, and 6 days apart, a new foe will emerge that threatens the fate of gods across the galaxy.

Writer/director Taika Waititi’s (THOR: RAGNAROK, JOJO RABBIT) THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER borrows heavily from both the God Butcher and Mighty Thor storylines from the Thor comics and introduces fan-favorite villain Gor the God Butcher to the MCU, played by Christian Bale. With him comes a pantheon of other godly beings making their MCU debut, namely Russell Crowe as yet another god of thunder, Zeus. Just how many lightning-themed deities are in this thing? Well you know what they say, to err is human, to launch righteous bolts of fury into angry alien villains, divine.

Along with the new cast of heroes and villains, we’re excited to check in with some of our favorite characters we haven’t seen since ENDGAME, including Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie and the nice space friends themselves, the Guardians of the Galaxy (Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, and Pom Klementieff). With all the MCU action you love and Waititi’s trademark kiwi wit, it’s time to board the cosmic longboat for another epic Thor saga.
